Our Limerick camps will be held at Shannon Rowing Club in Annacotty.  \nRowing is a fantastic sport for so many reasons: It takes a totally different skill set than land-based sports\, there’s a different team dynamic\, you’re out in the fresh air and beautiful surroundings\, and you can’t even learn it until you’re in your early teens. So you’ll be on the water with other total beginners\, just like you! \nThese on-the-water rowing camps are designed to introduce young people to all aspects of the sport\, both on the water and off.  Our camp incorporates the innovative Olympic Values Education course developed by World Rowing and Youth Sports Trust International. And they’re tons of fun.

DESCRIPTION:This event includes a film screening of locals raising awareness of ethical fashion and sustainable clothing. It gives the community a chance to participate in sustainable clothing opportunities\, share awareness with friends and neighbours\, swap clothes (many of which are new that were bought and never worn) and learning about where their clothes come from\, the true cost of our clothing and to have some fun! We also invite the community to bring clothing that they would like to swap or share with this event but it is not essential. If you don’t have items to swap\, you are still absolutely welcome to come\, pick up an item or two and participate!

DESCRIPTION:Beth McNinch (ARAM) is an esteemed Irish Violist\, Producer\, Educator\, and Artistic Director\, known for her ability to craft compelling programmes that balance classical favourites with lesser-known gems. Beth is passionate about collaboration across artistic genres. This spirit of innovation is at the heart of her company\, Musici Ireland\, an acclaimed Chamber Collective and interdisciplinary production house. She studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the Royal Academy of Music\, and has performed for the London Symphony Orchestra\, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra\, and Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. She has appeared in principal viola positions with the Irish National Opera\, Wexford Festival Opera\, English National Ballet\, Ulster Orchestra\, and the National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland. DESCRIPTION:Ailbhe McDonagh & John O’ Connor\nTUESDAY 21ST OCTOBER @ 8PM\nAilbhe McDonagh is an internationally recognised cellist known for her work as both a soloist and chamber musician. As an accomplished chamber musician\, Ailbhe collaborates with the acclaimed pianist John O’Conor\, with her sister Orla McDonagh and with violinist Lynda O’Connor. She is a member of the Ficino Ensemble and the traditional Irish music crossover group Trio Elatha. In addition to her performance career\, Ailbhe is an established composer. Her debut orchestral work ’Irish Isles Suite’ was recorded and released by the RTÉ Concert Orchestra in 2023.  In 2021\, Ailbhe released ‘Beethoven: Complete Cello Sonatas’ with John O’Conor on the Steinway label. In 2024\, she released her new album\, ‘Bach: Complete Solo Cello Suites’ on the Steinway & Sons label. This is the first such recording by an Irish cellist. Ailbhe has been a member of the Strings Faculty at the Royal Irish Academy of Music since 2010.
