DESCRIPTION:The final Castleconnell Autumn Concert features the Banbha Quartet\, showcasing Ireland’s finest musicians nurtured by the National String Quartet Foundation. This fifth tour highlights masterpieces by Beethoven and Schubert\, alongside a new piece by composer Seán Doherty. \nDoherty’s work\, inspired by the quartet’s mix of Irish and Polish musicians\, celebrates the Mazurka\, a Polish folk dance woven into Donegal fiddle tradition. \nThe quartet features award-winning violinist Lidia Jewloszewicz-Clarke\, and Maria Ryan\, a former Southbank Sinfonia leader. Violist Ed Creedon boasts performances across Ireland and internationally\, while cellist Aoife Burke was named a Next Generation Artist in 2020. \nTickets are €15\, with concessions at €10.
