Welcome to the Mid-West Vocal Academy & Music School website. We are proud to celebrate over 10 years providing quality music education in the Limerick and North Tipperary area. With everyone leading busy lives with so many activities, why not stay local for your music lessons in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. We are delighted that we have at least a 99% pass rate in examinations, with most achieving Merits or Distinctions. Examinations are optional but encouraged as we consider them a great focus for learning.

Mid-West Vocal Academy and Music School was established in January 2011 by International Baritone, Owen Gilhooly-Miles, who grew up in Lisnagry. Owen spent 15 years studying and working as an opera singer in the UK and beyond, before returning to Lisnagry to establish what began as just a singing school, opening 3 days a week for a few hours each day and just 2 teachers. Over the past 10 years, the school has grown to be open 6 days a week, with 13 teachers and a variety of music lessons on offer. Student numbers have steadily increased year on year and we look forward to continuing growth in the many years ahead.
