Castleconnell Autumn Concerts – Banbha String Quartet

The final Castleconnell Autumn Concert features the Banbha Quartet, showcasing Ireland’s finest musicians nurtured by the National String Quartet Foundation. This fifth tour highlights masterpieces by Beethoven and Schubert, alongside a new piece by composer Seán Doherty.
Doherty’s work, inspired by the quartet’s mix of Irish and Polish musicians, celebrates the Mazurka, a Polish folk dance woven into Donegal fiddle tradition.
The quartet features award-winning violinist Lidia Jewloszewicz-Clarke, and Maria Ryan, a former Southbank Sinfonia leader. Violist Ed Creedon boasts performances across Ireland and internationally, while cellist Aoife Burke was named a Next Generation Artist in 2020.
Tickets are €15, with concessions at €10.
