Children Learning Difficulties.

You are invited to attend a talk at the ACM Community Centre, Shannon House, Castleconnell re Special Educational Technology for pupils with special educational needs e.g. Autism, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia. The purpose of this presentation focuses upon exploring the various types of special educational technology which can be utilised for pupils who have special educational needs.
The presentation will first examine the concept of learning difficulties in general including a discussion about the types of difficulties experienced by those who have Dyslexia and Dyspraxia. The presentation will also explore the many types of technologies which exist within the field of special needs education and discusses how they can be used to support the needs of these children. Finally, we will illustrate simple resources which can be created using one type of content free software.
The talk will be presented by John Phayer, B.Sc., M.A. in Ed. (Research), Specialist Dip. in Teaching, Learning and Scholarship.
