The village of Castleconnell is in County Limerick, 11 km from Limerick City to the west of the M7 motorway.
By road
From the north –
Travelling on the M7 exit the motorway at Junction 27 and follow the signs to Birdhill. At the Birdhill Roundabout, take the first exit signposted for Birdhill R445. Continue straight on for a further 9km until you reach Daly’s Cross Service Station. Turn right onto the R525 taking the second left, signposted to the railway station. This will bring you into the village.
From the south –
Travel out from Limerick City on the Dublin Road, through Castletroy and Annacotty, following signs for M7 Dublin. On reaching The Mackey Roundabout, take the first exit following signs for R445. At the Castleconnell Roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto the R445 and continue until you reach Daly’s Cross Service Station. Turn left onto the R525 taking the second left, signposted to the railway station. This will bring you into the village.
Village Car Parking
Parking in car parks or on-street in Castleconnell is free. The Ferry car park next to the playground at the bottom of Chapel Hill provides parking for 30 vehicles. There is also a car park next to SuperValu in the centre of the village, providing 110 spaces.
By train
Castleconnell railway station is in the centre of the village and the train from Limerick Colbert station takes about 20 minutes. It is the first station on the Limerick to Ballybrophy line and connects with services to Dublin. For train times, please click the link below.
