An Caisleán 2023 is the annual chronicle of Castleconnell reviewing events, achievements and everyday life in our beautiful village and in the surrounding areas. It is a collection of stories and information provided by the community and includes news about village life and events that took place during the year.
This year, there is a special feature on Ahane National School’s 200 year anniversary celebrations with some wonderful photographs of the week’s events. The Community Groups section includes new reports from The Castleconnell River Association, Buachaill Dana MCC, Care of the Aged, and the Castleconnell ICA Guild. There are annual reports from our four schools and our sports groups, who have all had a busy year, and stories and poems from the past, present and future all contributed by talented locals. The Year in Review is a wonderful summary of local events and happenings throughout the year. It is followed by a comprehensive community directory, which is an essential resource for finding information and contact details for local businesses, associations and services.
