Castleconnell’s An Caisleán publication is scheduled to return this year after a four year hiatus. The community is looking forward to seeing the Annual returning to local bookshelves ahead of the Christmas season, and this year’s issue promises to include some of the old favourites as well as a host of new articles that will inform and entertain the people of Castleconnell, Ahane and Montpelier. Local businesses, groups and organisations will be delighted to see a business directory listing in this year’s publication that will provide detail on local shops, hospitality, services, education facilities, sports and community groups. This directory will be connected to an upcoming online local listings directory – watch out for details on the launch date in the coming weeks.
Responsibility for managing the An Caisleán publication has been transferred to the Love Castleconnell team this year. A huge thanks to Stephen Reidy, Pat Skehan, Margaret Madden and Anne Berkery for the many years of great work they’ve put into the annual book. The community certainly appreciates the quality of the annual over the years, and the new team of Nicky McNamara, Tara Hartigan, Eamonn McQuade and Chelsea Canavan has a challenge ahead to keep up the high standards, and it’s a challenge they’re very much looking forward to taking on.
