Limerick Arts Office are delighted to work with RTÉ lyric fm again in 2023 to bring the concerts to The Full Score Programme with Liz Nolan.

“It’s a great pleasure to welcome you to the 2023 Castleconnell Autumn Concert Series- a recital platform for top Irish and international artistry, which today reaches out to a global audience. Since its inception, this endeavour has attracted a remarkable roster of classical musicians to All Saints Church, Castleconnell. And this season, we welcome another starry array of performers for the highest calibre chamber recital.

To open the season, we welcome one of the most exciting young voices on today’s opera circuit. Mezzo-soprano Aebh Kelly dazzled distinguished jurors at the Veronica Dunne International Singing Competition, where she was awarded 2nd prize. Her Castleconnell recital offers a rare chance to hear Aebh perform at home – a recital of pure star power, as Aebh is joined at the piano by distinguished song pianist Dearbhla Collins.

For a top-tier solo showcase, we’re thrilled to welcome British pianist Leon McCawley on his return visit to the Series. An internationally acknowledged master across Classical and Romantic repertoire, what an experience his recital promises to be – with McCawley’s subtle mastery of style and expression, and the warm generosity of his live performance, simply unmissable.

While for their début Castleconnell performance, we’ve two fast-rising Irish stars. Clarinettist Cathal Killeen and pianist Órán Halligan are each previous winners at the Irish Freemasons Young Musician of the Year Competition. In addition to their solo careers, Killeen and Halligan have won wide acclaim for their recital partnership, with its fine balance of refinement and dynamism.
